AUM (Assets Under Management)

The total market value of the assets controlled by a fund, including the value of investments as well as uninvested capital.

AUM can encompass a variety of investment types, including but not limited to cash, mutual funds, stocks, bonds, real estate, and other types of financial assets. The volume of managed assets can be an indicator of the size and success of the institution or individual managing the assets, as well as the trust and confidence that clients place in them.
