Payouts

In financial contexts, payouts refer to payments made by companies or investment funds to their shareholders or investors, particularly in terms of business and economics. Unlike interest payments, these payments are made to equity holders.

In most cases, these payments come from profits generated during a specific period. These disbursements are often referred to as dividends or profit distributions.

In English, they are frequently termed as "dividend" or "distributed dividend." Additionally, terms such as "cash dividend," "payout," and "distribution" are commonly used to describe the same event.

It is worth noting that occasionally, interest payments are also referred to as distributions, although this is a somewhat imprecise use of the term, as interest is paid to debt holders, while distributions from profits are made to equity holders.
