Note: If an amount exceeding €15,000 has been invested, the issuer is legally obligated to identify the investor (§ 10 (3) sentence 2b GwG). Additionally, it is at the issuer's discretion to require investors to be identified even for lower investments.
Set-up
- Enter the IDnow API Key in the "Settings" > "Integrations" section under "Third-party providers" in the respective field.
- Also, in "Settings" under "Domain & Mail" > "Notifications," you can specify how many days investors who still require identification should receive a reminder email. A common value is between 3-5 days.
- Once the issuer and project are set up, you can specify in the issuance:
- IDnow as the identification method or
- IDnow + QES (Qualified Electronic Signature) as the identification method and when investors should be identified (from €15,000 or less).
Additional Note: IDnow is an identification method using video. With IDnow + QES, in addition to video, an electronic signature is used for identification.
Qualified Electronic Signature (QES)
Through our verification partner IDNow, you can have digitally generated subscription forms signed online by your investors and intermediaries.
After digital subscription, investors receive a request for online identification via VideoIdent, in addition to the confirmation email. After successful identification, the digital signature is printed on the subscription form.
If you also want intermediaries to counter-sign the subscription form, intermediaries receive a request for a digital signature after investors have signed. After successful identification with IDNow, the subscription form is supplemented with the digital signature of the intermediaries under the investors' signature. Intermediaries only need to authenticate themselves once; subsequent processes only require confirmation.
The digitally signed subscription form is stored in the "Investments" section in the detail view of the respective investment. Additionally, the digital signature can be viewed under the IDNow status of the investor in the "Investments" section.
Not Yet Identified?
In the "Investors" section in the blue sidebar on the left, you can access "Identifications." This list contains all investors who still require authentication. Click on one of the investors to access the detail view. There, you have the option to resend the identification link by clicking "Send Legitimation Check Reminder" under Actions. Alternatively or in addition, you can also use the automatic reminder email in "Settings" under "Domain & Mail" > "Notifications."
