Affiliates

Through the "Marketing Tools" menu on the left side of the blue sidebar, you can access the "Affiliate Management." Here, you will find an overview of affiliates and can create new affiliates by clicking on "New Affiliate." For the setup, you need to define the name, parameter, and value for each affiliate. When specifying the value, you can choose the compensation method, which includes the following options:

  • € per initial/Follow-up Investment: Using these fields, you can specify absolute values for the commission of investments. It distinguishes between first-time and follow-up investments.
  • % per initial/Follow-up Investment: Similar to "€ per initial/Follow-up Investment," relative commission values based on the invested amount can be entered here.

Once an affiliate is created, the system generates a direct link to the affiliate view and utm affiliate parameters.

  • Provide the direct link to your affiliate. Through this link, the affiliate can view all their associated conversions without needing a separate login. Investor data is anonymized in the affiliate view, ensuring no identification of investors or investments.
  • The utm affiliate parameter is needed by your affiliate to direct their network to your offering, indicating that investors were generated through this affiliate.
  • You copy the "Affiliate Parameter" and append it to the offering link or your domain.
  • Adding the affiliate parameter to the offering link will take you directly to the subscription process for that offering.
  • Adding the affiliate parameter to your domain will lead you to your homepage with all projects. Investors can then select a project/offering for investment on your site.
  • Additional utm parameters can be added. After the "=", you can make an entry, for example, "&utm_medium=facebook."
  1. &utm_campaign= This utm parameter is used for keyword analysis, identifying specific product advertisements or strategic campaigns.
  2. &utm_medium= Use this utm parameter to identify a medium such as email or Facebook.
  3. &utm_term= This utm parameter is used for paid search, noting the keywords for this advertisement.
  4. &utm_content= This utm parameter is used for A/B tests and content-related ads, distinguishing ads or links referring to the same URL.
  • To create the affiliate link, you can also use the Google Campaign URL Builder.

The link for the affiliate page will be constructed as follows:

URL of the offering or the domain + ?locale=de& + optional utm parameters + &utm_source=

Ensure that there are no spaces in the affiliate link.

Note: For tracking through the utm_source parameter to work, ensure that your frontend guarantees the parameter's transfer with each click, provided investors accept cookies. Please discuss this with your frontend developer.

Managing Conversions

In the "Affiliate Management" section, you can view the conversions generated through an affiliate source. You can filter conversions and display individual affiliates. You can determine whether a conversion is a lead or a sale. If it's a sale (actual investment), the value of the respective investment generated through the affiliate will be displayed in the last column.
